Hello and welcome!

Spring has past but let's banish thoughts of a summer monsoon - anyway the garden needed some rain. This morning I picked the first blackberries - lovely with my muesli for breakfast.

Trem y Foel is a 2 bedroom non-smoking holiday cottage located in peaceful, idyllic surroundings in the NW corner of Snowdonia National Park. The cottage is an ideal base for:

  • General holiday activities: beaches, tourist attractions, events...
  • Walking and hillgoing in one of the most beautiful areas of Britain.
  • Mountain biking, climbing, sailing, windsurfing and other outdoor activities.
  • Visiting tourist and steam railways such as the Ffestiniog railway.
  • History and archaeology: Edwardian castles amongst the finest examples of medieval military architecture in Europe; ancient cromlechs, mines and burial chambers, Roman remains.

Trem Y Foel location map
Where we are:
The villages of Dwygyfylchi and Penmaenmawr are on the North Wales coast, just off the A55 dual carriageway ("Euro-route" to Ireland, via Holyhead ferry) between Conwy (3mi) and Bangor (9mi). The proximity to a major road means a relatively easy and quick journey here (typically 4-5hrs from London) and also facilitates short journey times to major places of interest in the area. Click on the arrow to browse a Google ® based map on our location page and gain much more insight into the area.
