Self-Catering Holiday Cottage,
sleeps 4 (plus cot for infant), in Snowdonia National Park,
peaceful location, idyllic surroundings, with many beautiful walks in the area.  

Very easy access, being 1 mile from the A55, about 3 miles from Conwy,
and only 4 miles from Llandudno Junction Station.

Downstairs: Lounge with TV & DVD player; utility room with WC, washing machine, wash basin; dining room with TV. Kitchen with Bosch double electric oven, gas hob, microwave, infrared oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher. Upstairs: double bedroom;   twin bedroom; bathroom with WC and shower.   Cot and high chair available. Gas fired central heating.

Outside: Drying shed with tumble dryer (useful for determined walkers and cyclists);  iron and ironing board. Rotary dryer and clothes line. Patio with barbecue. Sheltered back garden, ideal for sunbathing. Small sunny front garden, with views of the hills. Parking Situated up a private road with own gated parking space for two cars in front of house. See picture below. More parking in main road. By arrangement, the lockable garage may be used for storing equipment such as bicycles.

Rental of cottage (gas, electricity, and bed linen included; not bath towels): £245-399 per week (2009).
Generally available Saturday-Saturday.
The property is non smoking inside the house.

Short notice bookings welcome, however we normally require at least two clear days' notice.

Local area

In Snowdonia National Park, with many beautiful walks in the area, particularly the Sychnant Pass.

Penmaenmawr and Dwygyfylchi web site (including pubs and restaurants).

Penmaenmawr and Llanfairfechan beaches hold the coveted Blue Flag.

Nearby is the North Wales Path. The village has an 18 hole  golf course and bowling green, with marvellous views of hills and sea.

North Wales coast, Snowdonia National Park and the Isle of Anglesey all provide a host of activities and attractions for all ages - from walking, climbing, cycling, horse riding and mountain biking to railways, castles, museums, and heritage centres. There is much of archaeological interest in the area. See for example the work on the Roman Conwy River Crossings in the Kanovium Project.

Penmaenmawr beach, with sailing club, is 2 miles, the old walled town of Conwy and the RSPB Conwy Bird Reserve are about 3 miles. An Austrian restaurant, and two pubs serving pub lunches, are under 10 minutes walk away, in Capelulo, while Penmaenmawr has two restaurants.

Swimming: the nearest public pools are in Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Bangor. Search on `swimming Conwy', `swimming Bangor Gwynedd'. A number of hotels and caravan parks also have swimming facilities.

Shopping

Dwygyfylchi has a post office, general store, Gannets (caterer).
Tesco and Netto supermarkets are near Llandudno Junction.
